Lot C547

c. 1960 Fordson Thames Van
Reg. no. 3787 AD
Chassis no. C847422
Engine no. C847422
Fordson was the name under which commercial and agricultural vehicles produced at Ford’s Dagenham plant, were sold in the UK. Alongside motor cars and tractors, Ford also produced light commercial vehicles such as the 10cwt van. Over 188,000 Fordson vans were made, serving the small businessmen up and down the country. Always known as ‘the bread van’ by the family, this example has been dry stored for at least 40 years and now requires a complete restoration. We understand that it is fairly sound with most parts solid and original. Included in the sale are two spare wheels and two front axles. The vendor has applied for a copy logbook as the original has been misplaced.
