Lot B50

1963 NSU 250cc Supermax
Reg. no. 312 EYF
Frame no. 1842885
Engine no. 3236554
Classed in the 1950s as a luxury tourer the NSU Supermax was a relatively heavy bike so acceleration was on the leisurely side, but once up to its maximum it would happily stay there all day. What NSU were known for was superb build quality, reliability and a high standard of finish; this was evident all the way through the Max range. In total approximately 15,473 Supermaxes were built between 1956 and 1963.
This bike was fully repainted and restored by Harold Nuttall (Mr NSU) in 1993. This included a full engine rebuild at 12,300miles and he fitted new Borrani wheel rims at the same time. Described by the owner as a lovely bike to ride with everything working as it should.

Comes with – a current V5C, a maintenance manual, an original NSU Max instruction book, some receipts and hand-written notes.
