1979 Honda CBX 1000Z
Reg. no. HFG 548T
Frame no. CB1 2020022
Engine no. CB1E 2006697
Magazine reviews at the time said that the CBX is a mountain road flyer beyond anyone’s wildest dreams. The CBX’s handling belied its girth and dimensions which incidentally is only two inches wider than the CB750.
Condition: coming from a well-respected, knowledgeable collector and rider of CBXs, this machine is a lovely looking, well cared for example of Honda’s iconic inline 6-cylinder super-bike. Deviating from the standard exhaust system, the replacement 6 into 1 exhaust sounds amazing. Described by the owner as follows: It was imported from America and registered in the UK in 1997 and I purchased the bike in 2013. Since when I have had the ‘candy apple red’ tank and body panels re-sprayed and the frame powder coated. I rode the bike last year and it runs well, it does have a slight clutch rattle similar to that found on many CBXs. The bike is reluctantly being sold due to the need to reduce my collection.
This is a chance for someone to fill that hole in their classic collection with a ready to ride, very desirable Honda, an appreciating asset and one that is great fun to ride.
Comes with – a current V5C.
