Lot B3

Description:

1978 Moto Guzzi Le Mans Special
Reg. no. WUH 141T
Frame no. VG 14234
Engine no. 200891
The Le Mans through all its incarnations was always its own kind of bike both distinct and unique. Although the 850 Le Mans was always an excellent bike on the twisty bits, it lacked that edge on the straights, hence the many companies now offering engine and handling upgrades.
The owner of this bike loved sports bikes and along with all his other bikes he was never satisfied until he had upgraded them into the highest specifications possible using the very best equipment available. Cost was not a consideration as the bikes were for him to use and not sell. This bike is no different and his widow said that along with various handling and bodywork upgrades, one of the main changes made to this bike was converting the engine to 948cc Spada spec.
Condition - this is a stunning looking bike that had a very knowledgeable owner/rider who originally imported this bike from South Africa in 2007. His widow said the bike was running well and regularly used prior to her husband’s death. A huge amount of very expensive upgrade work has been carried out on this bike and it was MOT’d up until April 2019. The bike has not been used now for some time and will require the usual recommissioning prior to use.

Comes with - a history file and current V5C.
