Lot B1

Royal Enfield Model G 350cc OHV
Reg. no. JY 9508
Frame no. 24301
Engine no. G2750
Described as the father of the modern Bullet, the first Model G 350cc motorcycles were produced to provide a basic, reliable motorcycle at a price that was available to everyone. These bikes were very successful and went through several revisions up to WWII when Enfield concentrated on making bikes for the military. Post war, production of the model G single cylinder OHV 350cc restarted successfully and provided transport to a market that was struggling to rebuild in austere times.
This lovely unrestored motorbike has been in the same family ownership since 1987 and was left to the present owner by her late grandfather who had a large collection of classic cars and bikes. Too good for a full restoration and fun to ride, this bike was one of his favourites and he used this bike on a regular basis above any others in his collection. The bike has lived all its life in the West Country and still retains its original Plymouth registration number. Dry stored for the last couple of years the bike will require the usual recommissioning checks prior to going back on the road.
Comes with – a current V5C, previous V5C, old V5 and a buff logbook dating back to 1941. Also some old MOT certificates and tax discs.
