In the 1950s BSA were best known for their well-built, reliable, non-sporty, get to work bikes, then
along came the DBD 34 500cc Gold Star, which was definitely not designed for commuting. It was
fast, noisy, used loads of fuel and had to be regularly tuned otherwise it was really hard to start,
but the bikers loved it. Not only a road bike it was a very successful racer, especially on the
clubman racing circuit. This 500cc, single cylinder production bike was definitely amongst the
fastest road bikes of the 1950s and were certainly then and probably still true today the most
desirable iconic cafe racer available.
Condition - Stunning machine, restored many years ago, it has since formed part of a dry stored
major collection. This bike will require recommissioning before use by the new owner.
Comes with - No documentation.
