Lot 2150

1969 Triumph TR6 CP
Reg. no. WYF 458G
Chassis no. CP25290
Engine no. Unknown
1969 saw a restyling of the TR6, which was given a full-width nose and squared-off tail, clothing a chassis that remained basically the same as that of the TR4A. Triumph\'s existing 2.5-litre fuel-injected power unit was unchanged, producing 150bhp initially then 124bhp from 1973 onwards. The car could achieve 120mph with acceleration to match; the six-cylinder TRs are arguably the most exciting Triumphs ever made, and they continue to enjoy an enthusiastic following supported by an excellent network of spare parts and service providers. This example is fitted with a stage two rebuilt engine by Cameron Gilmour engine specialists, a lightened and balanced flywheel, a ported unleaded cylinder head, big valves, a Piper cam and a stainless steel manifold and exhaust. The fuel injection system has been fully refurbished and our vendor tells us that the result is a car that runs well with good performance. There is a substantial history file that contains some bills, a V5c and the latest MOT certificate that expires in October 2019.
