Lot 2038

1955 BSA M33 500cc
Reg. no. ROK 67
Frame no. BM205 5600
Engine no. BM33 1846
The M33 was introduced in 1948 as effectively a combination of the B33 OHV single with the cycle parts of the M20 SV single. Originally the model was fitted with a rigid frame but in 1951 it was offered with a BSA plunger frame, and BSA marketed it as a sidecar bike stating it would do 60mph at top speed and return 50mpg at 50mph with a sidecar attached. The M33 remained in production until 1957. This matching numbers bike has had some restoration work, but will need finishing; our vendor tells us that the engine turns over freely with good compression. This M33 is sold with the original buff logbook and green continuation book.
