Lot 2037

c.1960 BSA C15S Scrambler 250cc
Reg. no. Not Registered
Frame no. C155 1929
Engine no. C15 SS2632
The C15 was first introduced in 1958 and sold as a C15 road bike, a C15T trials bike and a C15S scrambles bike. The C15S was not very popular as it was not competitive against the array of 250 2-strokes that were available at the time. However the engine was developed over the years and received an increased capacity. In 1962 and 1963 with the name 440 Victor it won the World Scrambles Championship ridden by Jeff Smith. The bike in the auction is said to be a project bike and when completed could be eligible for pre-65 scrambles. There are no documents.
