Lot 1962

1927 Austin 7 Chummy
Reg. no. CJ 9524
Chassis no. A38389
Engine no. t.b.a.
This Chummy was owned by a true vintage enthusiast who carefully selected the cars he owned. He, like so many, regarded the 1927 model as perhaps the most useable and prettiest of Sevens, and finished in a lovely grey colour, this is a most attractive vintage car. There is a buff continuation logbook detailing many stamps throughout the second world war, in the Monmouth area. There are also lots of Wales Region Petroleum Department stamps for that time also. Not much history is known about the car, but we understand that a previous owner C. J. Elsmore restored it in around the late 1970s/early 1980s. The result today is a nicely patinated car that still presents very well, but may require some minor recommissioning following a short period of storage. In the file is the aforementioned buff logbook, an old V5, a current V5c, a selection of old MOTs and sundry paperwork including some Lucas diffuser stickers.
