1930 Triumph Model X
Reg. no. Unknown
Frame no. X2065
Engine no. Unknown
The Triumph Model X Junior was introduced in 1930, at the height of the Great Depression. Intended to capitalise on a growing market for smaller bikes – many people were looking to downsize for greater economy – it had a 174cc single-cylinder two-stroke engine. Driving through a two-speed gearbox, the engine and gearbox was one unit, an early example of the use of this format.
This Model X was fitted with a 1958 Villiers Mark 30 engine when found and had been used as a field bike in the past. The vendor states that the frame is in good condition, and the bike has new wheel rims and tyres. It also comes with a booklet, photos, and a dating letter from a marque specialist.
