1964 BSA B40 350cc
Reg. no. BNE 499B
Frame no. B407408
Engine no. B405791
After WWII BSA were a major motorcycle manufacturer with a wide range of models. The C12 a 250cc single-cylinder was one. In the late 1950s the C12 was redesigned and redeveloped into the C15 which became very popular. The B40, a 350cc, was then developed from the C15 and it sold in large numbers to the WD to replace its ageing fleet of M20s. The bike in the auction has had a major restoration and is said to be in good all-round condition. It has been converted to 12v electrics and is sold with a current V5 in addition to a journal which details all of the work carried out including receipts, a BSA service book and a spares catalogue.
