Lot 1891

Reg. no. 759 XUV
Frame no. TTMS65291
Engine no. 837A 2938F
After the Second World War Francis Barnett made their name with the production of lightweight 2-stroke motorbikes, powered by Villiers engines. The most popular was the Falcon, originally fitted with the 197cc, 8E Villiers followed by the 9E Villiers motors. Towards the end of production the 199cc AMC/Villiers engines were introduced. These engines were used right to the end of Francis Barnett production in 1964. The bike in the auction was restored some years ago, but it is still in very usable condition, although not used for some time. The bike will therefore require fully re-commissioning prior to any use. It is sold with a current V5C, an old logbook, a buff logbook and a selection of paperwork including old MOT certificates.
