Launched in 1937 the Excelsior Autocycle was fitted with the Villiers junior motor. The earlier examples had no suspension and a small petrol tank. The bike in the auction is a Goblin designed in late 1947. It was the first, not to use the Villiers motor as they had their own motor, designed and manufactered in house with an Amal carburettor and a Miller flywheel magneto. Later models dropped the Miller flywheel and were fitted with the Wipac \'Genimag\'; production stopped in 1956. This Goblin has a current V5c and old log book.
