1950s Bown Motorcycle
Reg. no. Unknown
Frame no. Unknown
Engine no. Unknown
The Bown brand originated in Victorian times as a manufacturer and machinest of a variety of wares including sewing machine components and cycle parts. It was after WWI that Bown began manufacturing motorcycles but this was shortlived and by 1924 production stopped. It was then revived in 1950 to manufacture autocycles. Like most of its contemporaries, Wales-based Bown relied on Villiers engines and they soon began building a lightweight motorcycle powered by a 98cc. Very little is known about this very attractive example and sadly it is sold with no documents.
