Lot 1875

Description:

1952 BSA ZB32A 350cc
Reg. no. MXR 618
Frame no. ZB31 S 17287
Engine no. ZB32A 5114
This model is a forerunner to the Goldstar, with an alloy competition engine rated at 350cc. Compression is excellent and the decompressor is needed to kick it over. The engine is a B32 alloy competition plunger type; the magneto is fitted, but appears to be missing the dynamo part (we are told that these are readily available). The bike is fitted with a steering damper and it also has the spare clutch and throttle cable which are carried by the handlebars. Lights are fitted front and rear and the odometer shows 3,757 miles. Also fitted is a Terry sprung saddle which appears to be original. Little is known of the history of the bike as it was bought as a barn find by the vendor\'s late father-in-law. He had bought it off a farmer in the Oldbury area of Gloucestershire. It was then dry stored and little was done to it. The bike recently had an oil change, fresh fuel and on the second kick, started and ran well but it will require further recommissioning. It is offered with a V5c and an older V5.
