Lot 1863

1921 Triumph Model H 550cc
Reg. no. NAS 613
Frame no. 318495
Engine no. 78683CRT
Shortly after the launch of the Model H in 1915 the war department were looking for a dispatch rider’s motorcycle for the recently started WW1 and Triumph won the contract with their Model H. By the end of the war more than 30,000 had been supplied to the war department and it had earned the nickname of the \'Trusty Triumph\' by its riders. Production of the Model H continued until 1923 and a total of 57,000 had been produced. This lovely Model H was restored some years ago and we are told by the vendor that it is still in very good all-round condition. It is now offered with a V5c and it would be a most suitable steed for VMCC and similiar events.
