Lot 1856

1962 Norton Atlas 750cc
Reg. no. 504 UYS
Frame no. 18102516
Engine no. RHJ 100 (replacement unit)
Norton Atlas was the largest of the Norton parallel twins and the forerunner of the Commando engines. The original owner of this bike replaced the engine in about 1970, but he never ran the motor. He also upgraded the front end of the bike with Commando front forks and a disc brake. The bike was then put into store for many years. After buying the bike, our vendor recommissioned the Norton and had the magneto and carburettors rebuilt. Our vendor describes the bike as in good overall condition and that it rides and handles very well. We now offer this Atlas with a current V5c, a selection of receipts supporting the purchase of parts and a current MOT that expires in April 2018.
