Norman was a small company from Kent that took over production of the autocycle from Rudge, it was fitted with a small Villiers 2-stroke engine. They also built a range of light-weight motorcycles, all powered by Villiers engines, ranging from 98cc to 250cc. Production ended in 1961 when the Norman brothers sold the company to the Raleigh group. The bike in the auction is said to be in partly restored condition with a good engine and transmission. FYA 775 was first registered during the second world war and it has spent most of its life in the Somerset area. It still retains its original registration number and the details of original ownership are detailed on the buff logbook. This bike is now offered with a V5, service sheets and a parts list.
